The CCK Foundation Inter-University Center for Sinology (CCK-IUC) is a project of the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation and is based in the United States. The Center is sponsored by the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange, which was established in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1989, in memory of the late President of the Republic of China, Chiang Ching-kuo (1910-1988).
Our goals:
1. Promote Chinese studies the English-speaking world and the study of the humanities;
2. Enhance scholarly interflow between Chinese and non-Chinese communities worldwide;
3. Encourage Sinological studies in and about Taiwan.
Research areas of interest:
The Center was founded to promote Sinological studies in the humanities, which includes disciplines such as language, literature, history, thought, religion, art history, archaeology, media studies and cultural studies.
